SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Inventory Management Specialist who will primarily be responsible for supporting the Axiom’s Logistics & Integration Operations team with initializing and maintaining all critical data aspects for materials and hardware supporting Axiom’s Space Station program. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about technical material aspects and who excels at problem solving. The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain all part numbers in the inventory management system.
  • Identify critical data point for items that will be procured, stored, and consumed. Items consist of consumables, ground support equipment, training hardware and flight hardware (assemblies and repair components).
  • Proactively identify, develop action plans, and implement resolution for limited life issues of stored consumables.
  • Identify and develop mitigation plans for part obsolescence issues to reduce risks and project impacts for on-orbit and ground hardware.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to obtain technical specifications, logistical requirements, and procurement lead times to support the Axiom Station subsystem teams with design and sustaining efforts.
  • Monitor inventory levels of consumables, materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory is available and on-hand.
  • Perform usage rate analysis from material consumption data to adjust/establish re-order points within the inventory management system.

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-5 years’ experience directly related to part obsolescence management
  • Experience with hardware life monitoring and/or limited life resolution (i.e. life extension)
  • Experience identifying and communicating and tracking hardware technical requirements for parts and materials

  • Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements 

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

 Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
